3 VIDEO STORIES ABOUT LIFE AT REDEEMER GRACE GENEVA

Redeemer Grace is a non-denominational church that believes in the authority of the Christian Scriptures for our life and practice. What do we believe?  The Lausanne Covenant pretty much sums up our belief as a community.

We hold to the essential orthodox Christian beliefs as best expressed in the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed, as well as the Evangelical Statement of Faith.

We exist to be a loving, christ-centered community through which god transforms lives in the wider geneva region and beyond.

We want to play our part leading our generations into a transforming relationship with Jesus and experience authentic community. We dream of creating a community of people who live in the way of Christ in the context of  international Geneva. We want to value the traditions of the last 2000+ years of the people who follow Jesus, while passionately engaging with the present issues of our day and believe that God is redeeming, restoring and renewing all things.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Church can be an intimidating place to visit, especially if you don't know what to expect. We try to explain what we are about to do throughout the service and always bring what we are saying back to Jesus. We don't want to add the additional burden of insider language or impenetrable rituals.

We invite you to experience what the Gospel means both intellectually and relationally at our Sunday morning Breakfast Worship Service and all our activities.

You can engage with others as much as you want or remain anonymous if you prefer.

Community

Community

Learning to love and serve one another in tangible and compelling ways.

Friendship is born at that moment when one man says to another: “What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . .
— C.S. Lewis (The Four Loves)

At Redeemer, we place a significant value on church being family. We want to create a culture where community is not just talked about, but lived and experienced.

One way that plays out is through our members and attenders participating in serving in a variety of ways. We are creating opportunities to help people take a step towards connection and equip them to follow Jesus by joining Him in His mission of renewal in our culture, community, work and world.

We may impress people by our strengths; but we connect with them through our vulnerabilities.
— Nicky GUMBEL HTB CHURCH LONDON
To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us.

Gospel

Gospel

We are committed to sharing, living and being a compelling preview of the Gospel to those around us.

"The gospel is the good news that God himself, the Creator, has come to rescue us from sin, and renew all things, in and through the work of Jesus Christ on our behalf, to establish his kingdom, through his people, in the power of the Holy Spirit.”

The Church in Western culture is in a steady decline. We want to be among those who are trying to innovate new ways to reach people with the Gospel. We really know that the Gospel changes everything.

The love demonstrated on Calvary is the center of the gospel, for it reveals the beauty of God himself.”

Mission

Mission

We provide a welcoming place for people to experience community, to encounter christ, and to serve others.

The Good-news of Jesus needs to be Felt, seen, tasted and heard. Over many centuries, Christians have made historic contributions to the advancement of culture for the common good.  Redeemer Grace Geneva takes seriously its responsibility to be a community that creates and cultivates culture.
As the church exposes and equips people to the needs and opportunities for good to advance in the world, the church becomes a hive of generative ideas, relationships, redemptive projects, and ventures that serve society and contribute towards human flourishing.

Q COMMONS

The church has a unique opportunity to convene, unite and distribute leaders with a common vision into every channel of culture. Q Commons, twice a year we convene local people to think, learn, and work together on common topics and issues in our area. Our guests will hear presentations and have the opportunity to reflect and respond on ways they can collaborate and offer talent and resources to advance thinking and common good in our Lake Geneva area.

STUDENTCOLLECTIVE

We see this as a great opportunity to collaborate with like-minded groups to engage with students, interns and young creatives within the Geneva region.

How can any one remain interested in a religion which seems to have no concern with nine-tenths of his life?

Discipleship

Discipleship

Learning to live in the way of Jesus in the context of International Geneva.

We are formed into Christ`s likeness by steps not leaps and bounds. This means that spiritual growth and maturity occurs as a life long process. As people come to faith in the work of Christ on the cross, they are invited into the mission of God in this world to renew all things—inaugurating a new world based on faith, hope, love, justice, peace and civility.

We long to be a place where

  • the bible is read,
  • truth sought,
  • mystery acknowledged,
  • compassion and justice embodied,
  • culture and arts engaged,
  • humility and understanding is sought
  • creativity and innovation fostered,
  • sharing the love of Christ is the great cause,
  • diversity and multi-ethnicity is embraced,
  • authenticity and community pursued,
  • and the grace of God is experienced.

Our aim is to be people who increasingly resemble Jesus in the way we worship, in our relationships, in our learning, and in the way we engage our world.
